To register with the DES for a State Unemployment Tax Account, you should complete an Unemployment Tax Registration or the online registration at UInteract. If you meet the criteria to be liable for state unemployment tax, the DES will send you an official written determination letter and you will receive Quarterly Contribution and Wage Reports on which to report your employees.
